Cancun, Mexico is one

Cancun is one
of the east coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula
in the state of Quintana Roo which is composed of many lagoons,
sandbars, and mangrove swamps, and is edged with coral reefs;
several islands lie off shore Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Isla
Holbox, and Contoy. The fifth larger reef in the world, the
Belize Reef, extends from the tip of Isla Mujeres 250 kilometers
south of the bay of Honduras. Many variety of coral-including
rare black coral found at great depths-grow in the hills and
valleys of the often-deep reef that protects Quintana Roo.
The weather in Quintana Roo falls into a wet
season [May-October] and dry season [November-April].
